Perhaps no other development has elicited as much excitement as Bayside. This $1 Billion mixed-use development will rival any development in the U.S. with construction already underway. Bayside is a 262-acre development that is split by Interstate 30 - the North Side will consist mostly of single-family and multifamily developments with some retail and other uses while the South Side will feature an 8-acre crystal lagoon with a state-of-the-art show fountain, Class A office space, lake front trails, hotels, numerous retail and restaurant venues, marina, condos, multifamily units, a medical district, entertainment options, and a 502-room resort and conference center.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lake Pointe
On February 7th, 2019 Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Lake Pointe opened a new 70,000 square foot, 3-story patient tower that includes an additional 32 beds, more space for administration offices, patient registration, lobby space, and neonatal intensive care unit and well-baby nursery.
Global Site-Downtown East
Located at the Southwest Corner of the President George Bush Turnpike and Main Street, the Global Site is a vacant tract of land that is expected to be transformed into a mixed-use development to include a hotel, apartments, and retail/restaurants. It is also located adjacent to Herfurth Park which will undergo a $6 million renovation in the coming years.
The 654-unit multifamily project is now open. It is an urban mixed-use residential apartment community being developed by Huffines Communities and is located on the President George Bush Turnpike.
Homestead at Liberty Grove
Located on Liberty Grove Rd. and Princeton Rd., the Homestead at Liberty Grove is a beautiful $200 million multi-phased housing project covering approximately 196 acres with 620 lots. It is located in the new Woodside Living New Neighborhood Form Based District and is now open.
Lakeview Pointe Senior Living
Lakeview Pointe Independent Senior Living (55 yrs+) is a 272-unit project being developed by Rise Residential in partnership with the Rowlett Housing Finance Corp. at the corner of Chiesa Rd. and Lakeview Pkwy. Pricing is based on annual gross income: 1 person household is $30,840 and $35,280 for a 2-person household. Amenities will include: resort pool, elevator, 5,000 sq. foot clubhouse, business center, fitness center, library, hair salon, community bus, community parking and covered parking. The Ground Breaking was held in December 2018 and construction should be completed in the 4th quarter of 2019.
As a part of Realize Rowlett 2020 Phase III, the Rowlett City Council authorized the North Shore Planning Initiative in 2013. As a part of the process, the City commissioned a marketing plan and target industry analysis to identify potential targets for the development. Located on the PGBT, North Shore offers over 1,314 acres of vacant land.
Signature Gateway-Mansions on the Lake
Mansions on the Lake is a luxury, urban-style lakefront apartment community on the shores of Lake Ray Hubbard. Located just east of the PGBT as it enters Rowlett from I-30, Mansions on the Lake will feature 448 units and a host of amenities, and will be completed in the summer of 2019.
This is a 447-unit high-end apartment development located on Lake Ray Hubbard near Scenic Dr. and SH 66 (Lakeview Pkwy) and is now open.
Village of Rowlett Downtown
Downtown Rowlett is experiencing a renaissance and is receiving interest from all types of development including retail, restaurants, farm house living, multifamily, and others. The Downtown DART station opened up the opportunity for unique Transit-Oriented Developments. The City created a Downtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone to help spur additional development by providing needed infrastructure improvements.
