Economic Development Specialist
Lexie Woodward began serving as Economic Development Specialist for the City of Rowlett in December of 2018. Prior to that, she served as Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Page, Arizona, Planning & Digital Content Fellow for Northwest Illinois' Blackhawk Hills Regional Council, Economic Development Intern/AmeriCorps Member/Peace Corps Fellow for the City of Lanark, Illinois, and consulted on tourism and marketing in Northern Illinois.
Lexie got her Masters of Science in Recreation, Park, & Tourism Administration through the Peace Corps Fellows Program in Community Development, managed by the Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs, at Western Illinois University. She is a graduate of the Midwest Community Development Institute, and has received her designation as Professional Community Economic Developer through the Community Development Council.
Lexie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua, as an AmeriCorps Member twice, and looks forward to continued service though the City of Rowlett.
