TIRZ 4 (Lakeview Business District)

A Tax Increment Reinvestment Zones (TIRZ) is a tool to finance public improvements within a defined area. The improvements should enhance the environment and attract new investment. The statutes governing tax increment financing are in Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code.

The Lakeview Business District received zoning approval in 2022 with plans to construct 1.62 million SF of light/urban industrial space on approximately 171 acres in the North Shore District.   Plans are to begin construction in 2023.
